Η Λία, μια συνταξιούχος δασκάλα από τη Γεωργία, μαθαίνει από τον νεαρό γείτονά της, τον Άχι, ότι η χαμένη της ανιψιά, η Τέκλα, η οποία είναι τρανς, έχει περάσει τα σύνορα και βρίσκεται στην Τουρκία. Αναζητώντας την Τέκλα, η Λία ταξιδεύει στην Κωνσταντινούπολη με τον απρόβλεπτο Άχι, όπου εξερευνούν τα κρυμμένα βάθη της πόλης.
