Pallas Theater is preparing an all-star lineup of events for the 2024-2025 season, and one special evening belongs to the one and only Johnny Logan, making his debut in Greece.
As the artist with the most wins in Eurovision history, Logan is a true legend. He’s a three-time champion: twice as a performer, with the unforgettable "What’s Another Year" (1980) and the iconic "Hold Me Now" (1987)—a track that not only clinched second place on the UK charts but also became a global bestseller.
His third win came as a songwriter, penning the 1992 Eurovision-winning song "Why Me".
For over four decades since those triumphs, Logan has continued to record music—releasing 40 singles and 19 albums—and perform successfully across Europe.
More recently, his career has been marked by double platinum CDs in Scandinavia and successful releases in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
2024 marks a new chapter for Johnny Logan, with the release of his latest album, "It Is What It Is". This new collection of 12 original tracks feels like a natural successor to “Hold Me Now.” The album was recorded live with real instruments and showcases a diverse range of musical styles, from rock & roll to jazz, while blending Irish sounds with Cajun influences. Notably, the track "Full Moon Over Berlin" stands out with its jazzy undertones.
Speaking about the project, Logan shared:
"It took me a year to write this album and another year to record it, but it truly was a labor of love. I’m prouder of this CD than anything I’ve worked on in the last 30 years."
"It Is What It Is"—the title says it all. This album represents Johnny Logan today: a voice that brings us timeless memories and vivid imagery.
Join us for an evening with this extraordinary artist, whose melodic voice, impeccable technique, and heartfelt music will undoubtedly captivate and delight.
