Μια απροσδόκητη οδύσσεια ενός παιδιού στην Τουρκία. Ο Γιουσούφ, δωδεκάχρονος μαθητής σε ένα αυστηρό οικοτροφείο στα βουνά της Ανατολικής Τουρκίας, προσπαθεί να βοηθήσει τον συμμαθητή του Μέμο, που αρρωσταίνει ξαφνικά μια πολύ κρύα ημέρα. Όμως οι καταπιεστικές σχολικές αρχές δεν συμμερίζονται την αγωνία του μικρού μαθητή... Βραβείο της Διεθνούς Ένωσης Κριτικών Κινηματογράφου (FIPRESCI) στο φεστιβάλ Βερολίνου (Πανόραμα).
