George Kontrafouris, a mentor to generations of Greek jazz musicians, has earned his place on the international stage as a world-class performer, whose skill and charisma captivate audiences everywhere. Τhe trio’s repertoire spans original compositions and timeless classics from the great jazz songbook, infused with a modern edge.
Gilad Atzmon, the globally celebrated saxophonist, joins the trio with his genre-defying approach that seamlessly blends contemporary jazz with Middle Eastern influences. Having collaborated with icons like Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, and Robert Wyatt, Atzmon’s evocative saxophone artistry adds a rich, emotive layer to the performance. In addition to performing, Atzmon is also curating the December "NO, Jazz Saturdays" series.
Completing the trio is the extraordinary drummer Panagiotis Themas one of Greece’s most distinguished drummers, whose masterful rhythms anchor the trio with precision and flair.
